It’s been 20 years since DJ Mary Mac scratched her first record—can you believe it? After its West Village venue Budhu Lounge (nee RF Lounge) evolved into a full-time restaurant last month, Hana’s long-running Saturday bash GirlNationNYC needed a new space. The party now moves to Bread & Tulips, an intimate locale that doubles as an Italian bistro specializing in sustainable, locavore dishes. Make a night of it and sign up for dinner—GirlNationNYC fans receive a discount on the tab. On February 11, GirlNationNYC launches a Valentine’s Soiree where the treats aren’t just champagne and strawberries—sexy GirlBar Dinah Shore dancer Vanessa will be bumping and grinding on the bar! Singer Ariana Castelli will also be on hand to belt out a song for all you lovers out there.

Burlesque and Valentine’s Day seem to go hand-in-hand, especially if you’re single on the holiday set aside for erotic exploration. Thirsty Girl Productions creates a garden of earthly delights and heavenly hotties hosted by burlesque legend *The World Famous BOB.* The Hot Sardine plays live dixieland stompers, finger-lickin’ jazz, French love songs and knee-slappin’ blues to accompany the sinuous stylings of burlesque beauties. Performers include Gal Friday, Broadway Brassy, Madame Rosebud, Darlinda Just Darlinda, BB Heart, Tansy Tan Dora, GOGO Harder, Shelly, The Singing Siren and the debut of The New York City Burlesque Choir! DJ Momotaro spins late into the night. You’ll go home happy!

Ivette and Crystal—the promoters behind hot queer Latin party Azucar—and alt-Latin sensation Amylulita are planning a spicy soiree for Valentine’s Day. The Heartbeats dinner and dance party will serve up a romantic Cuban dinner perfect for lovers at Brooklyn’s hip Cubana Social. Roving tarot card readers will be available tableside to read your fortune and provide guidance for your corazon along with your comida. Afterwards, the sizzling dance party features three Latina legends: a special one-night-only performance by Venezuelan star MPeach and new and classic indie, rock, electro, new wave and Latin sets from Azucar resident DJ Shomi Noise and your host Amylulita.

It’s not often that lezzies get to party at the U.N.! Sir Sabrina and GLAAD invite globally minded gals to help kick off the “Love Beyond Borders: Equality and Acceptance for All” campaign, sponsored by the gay-welcoming Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office. The goal? Raise money and awareness to secure equal rights for LGBT folks all around the world, and that’s a mission we can all get behind. DJs Bill Coleman and Whitney Day provide the soundtrack to a one-hour open bar with complimentary horsd’oeuvres and following cocktail soiree. Join your altruistic peers and make a lasting difference.

We hear that last month’s Get It! at the hot Williamsburg gay bar Sugarland was wall-to-wall women. The new monthly party hopes to go weekly in the future, but until then, DJs Soozee, Elli Vader and Lezz Van Halen will be spinning an eclectic fusion of 80s, 90s and electro jams on the last Tuesday of the month. Sugarland’s long, skinny space makes mingling mandatory near the bar, but toward the back, the dance floor opens up and is usually packed. On stage, go-go goddesses Elyse and Angela encourage you to get in the mood while Mila mixes $6 dirty martinis and doles out two-for-one beers and signature shots. Don’t miss this month’s installment!

Break out your Aquanet and neon eyeliner for this flamboyant dance party “for all shapes and flavors”! Hostess extraordinaire Bevin Branlandingham presents the 23rd installment of her popular monthly party Rebel Cupcake at Sugarland with a New Wave theme. Mixing DJ sounds with live burlesque and bands, Rebel Cupcake is more artsy salon than ragin’ kegger. DJ Bryan Black kicks the night off with slow jams and Riot Grrrl classics, followed by a special 20-minute performance by the World Famous *BOB,* burlesque legend and self-described New Wave teen. Princess Tiny and the Meats rocks her goth-tinged hits after that, and late-night dancing lasts far into the night. Plus, free cupcakes!
