The girls are heading back to Maple Brook before Season 2 even airs!

Girls, grab your hunting gear! We’re going back to Texas! Everyone’s favorite scandalous cowboy drama, The Hunting Wives has officially been renewed for a third season—before the second season has even aired!

“One for the money. Two for the show. Season three, you ain’t ready. Ladies, let’s go,” said show stars Malin Åkerman, Jaime Ray Newman and Brittany Snow in Netflix’s announcement video.

“I’m so excited, the girls are so excited, we just love making this show,” creator and showrunner Rebecca Cutter told Tudum. Cutter promised a growing world and higher stakes in Season three saying, “…Once you’ve finished Season 2, you’ll be desperate to see what happens next. Buckle up, because Season 3 will be even more scandalous and twisted.”

The Hunting Wives follows East Coaster Sophie (Brittany Snow) as she moves to Maple Brook, Texas and gets seduced by the twisty, dangerous and secret world of Margo (Malin Åkerman), the wife of oil tycoon Jed Banks (Dermont Mulroney).

Sophie and Margo’s romance drew in sapphic viewers and straight women alike as their “will they won’t they” storyline and palpable chemistry were addicting. Season 2 will find the two women “on the outs” after Season 1’s murderous complications. Can you feel the tension from here?

Fans were quick to celebrate the rare renewal of a massively queer show.

So, grab your best (or worst) wig, slap on some southern drawl and tune in to Season 2 of The Hunting Wives on November 26!
