Orlando Pride Teammates Rafaelle Souza and Hailie Mace Are Married!
The two announced their engagement in December.
Sapphic soccer fans are cheering from the sidelines after another set of teammates has tied the knot.
Orlando Pride players Rafaelle Souza and Hailie Mace revealed that they got married earlier this month, sharing a slew of photos from their special day on Instagram. The couple kept their captions simple, each writing only the date of their marriage—October 4, 2026—and tagging the location as Anna Maria Island, Florida.
Souza and Mace announced their engagement last December by way of a sweet proposal video. It’s unclear exactly how long the two have been together, but it certainly predates their working together as teammates.
Souza signed with the Orlando Pride back in 2023, while Mace only joined the team this year. Prior to that, she had been with the Kansas City Current for five seasons. Both athletes have found additional success outside their NWSL careers, with Mace having played for the U.S. women’s national team and Souza representing Brazil at multiple World Cups and Olympic Games.
This is actually the second wedding linked to Orlando Pride teammates this year. Brazilian soccer legend Marta Vieira da Silva (best known simply as Marta) and Carrie Lawrence married in January. The two got together while playing for Orlando Pride and went public with their relationship in 2022. Lawrence retired from the sport in 2024, although Marta still plays for the team.
Souza and Mace, however, will continue to play side-by-side as wives as the 2026 season wraps up and the Pride make a last-ditch push for a spot in the playoffs. And after that? Both remain under contract with the club through the 2028 season, though that pales in comparison to the lovely lifelong commitment they’ve now made to one another.
