As the new year scaries settle in and our early January resolutions get a bit less fanciful, our friends at Henrietta’s had colorful insight about fashion this year. A frequently mentioned aspiration of the night is to embrace the unconventional and dress weirder in 2025. Fashion, to many Henrietta go-ers last Friday night, served as an important part of queer self-expression and body exploration.
So, what’s one secret for a guaranteed perfect look? Well, if you asked someone at Henrietta’s on Friday night, you might hear to ditch what anyone has ever worn, said, or done, and just wear you. Here’s a tour of Henrietta Hudson’s best dressed.
Keeping It Layered

Sarah Steidle
Henrietta’s side brick wall conveniently became the perfect place to get some details on what everyone was wearing tonight. Sarah Steidle came dressed in a trippy halter tank, leather shorts and sheer black tights.

Alexisandria Tichy-Resse
Alexisandria showed out in tan tights with brown boots, a white skirt, a black tube top and a white drape. Some of the pieces came from her favorite store, her friend Aaliya’s closet. When asked, she said one of her favorite fashion trends happening right now is layering skirts and dresses over boot-cut jeans.

Aaliya Banerjee
Aaliya came dressed in Target boots, Target tights, an Urban Outfitters skirt, an Amazon tube top, an Amazon sweater, a thrifted necklace, and Urban Outfitter earrings. Tights have always been that girl! And, since we hate to see a compromise for fashion in winter, these outfits are perfect inspo for staying warm and looking good.

Bennie
Bennie popped out in a long sleeve that they hand-made, layered over a cream top and a long green thrifted skirt.
A tip we’ve learned tonight is that Target has great fleece lined tights. Pair them with a mini or midi skirt and the top of your choosing. Some advice from the girls was to layer all the way up, start with a tank or form-fitting top and layer with a blazer, flannel, or cardigan.
Spotting The Print

Kayla
Here to vouch for the comeback of animal print which, let’s be real, has never actually left, is Kayla. Kayla came wearing a cheetah print top, blue jeans, and a pop of color in the necklace stack.

Cécilí
Cécilí was also spotted in an H&M cheetah print top, pants from Cotton On, thrifted jewelry, and a thrifted cheetah print belt to match. Cécilí said, “I’m loving animal print, it’s taken over my wardrobe.”
Lots of animal print was seen tonight, and is totally on brand with the trend of statement tops. When our friends at Henrietta had a chance to rave about it, animal print was deemed the “it girl” of fashion. There’s no bond like a love for animal print.
Following Suit

Grey O’Neill
Blazers and jackets were such a moment. Grey came in Asics, Nike track pants, a thrifted shirt, and a thrifted blazer, accompanied by a friend, Kelsey.

Kelsey Kushnir
Kelsey came dressed in Doc Martens, a satin button up shirt, green cargo pants, a black leather jacket, a Patagonia hat, and a crossbody bag. When chatting about trends with Grey and Kelsey, they said, “There is no such thing as ‘norms,’ you do you and you’ll inspire the next new trend.”

Helena Ferro
Helena showed up in the lovechild of a suit and a dress. To say the look was killer would be an understatement. Side-swept hair and a simple chain completed the look.
Fashion Talks, Fashion States

Sarah Hulton
Statement pieces continued to assert their dominance as the night went on. Sarah went for a colorful statement vest paired with blue jeans and added a pop of color in her makeup to tie the look together.

Estefanía
Estefanía wore a one-shouldered white body suit with brown slacks and a black belt. When asked what she loves about fashion, she said she “loves to adorn herself through fashion. It feels like a celebration of my body.”

Alexa Gerasimovich
Alexa showed out in a cropped black top which says what we are all thinking, “I’m literally just a girl.” The top was accompanied by jeans from Target and a bold black lip!

Georgia Reed-Stamm
As the night was winding down, Georgia had some great takes about shapes and elements of outfits. She came dressed in a multi-colored patterned vest with blue jeans, and a unique statement necklace. Georgia “loves anything genderbendy and looks that evoke gender-trickery.” She loves distinctly queer haircuts, and the occasional laced up boot.

Laura Laureano
Laura was seen to enjoy dimension and shapes in her outfit as well, wearing a black dress with cut outs and silver ring details. A trend she wants to see in fashion right now is being confident, being yourself, and being happy.
If there’s one resolution to take away from last Friday night at Henrietta’s, it’s that the hottest thing you can wear is your confidence with a touch of weird…bonus points if it’s layered in animal print!
