Introducing GO’s Incredible Spring 2025 Interns
Ties, tea, and tacos — GO’s 2025 editorial gurus-in-training.
This spring, the staff of GO finally returned to our magical, albeit petite, brick and mortar office space. There, we welcomed our first “class” of college interns in over half a decade. These four brilliant, talented, and passionate students have served to inspire and reinvigorate our editorial team. Associate editors Abbie Thompson, Anika Kewalramani, Kayley Cassidy, and Paulina Rodriguez have brought new perspectives and vibrant energy to GO, and their work has left an indelible mark on GO’s culture. As the tenures of our spring interns come to a close, we thought you’d enjoy meeting them. We’ll miss them all, but we look forward to continuing to work with each of them as esteemed contributors.
If you’re interested in working with GO Magazine as an intern or a contributor, email us at employment@gomag.com.

What meme lives rent-free in your head? I think about Poot Lavato 24/7. It haunts me in the most beautiful way.

Go-to coffee order? Black Tea

Why do you love working for GO? I love working for GO because the publication takes all things queer seriously. The fact that we get to cover things that really do matter to our community is very affirming. To be a part of this publication which works to capture, record, and inform readers about queer female culture and the beauty of our community has been incredible.

If money and time were no object, what would you be doing? Making weird clothes and hanging out with friends in the park in long baggy denim shorts that would make my mom say, “You literally look like a boy.”

Kristen Stewart or Janelle Monáe? Janelle Monáe
Worst pick-up line? “Do you have a twin sister? Because I think I’ve seen you before.” Girl, I’m a fraternal twin.
What have you gotten out of your internship? I’ve really been able to improve my writing skills and also my social skills! Before my internship, I’d say I was definitely an introvert. At GO, I’ve been able to connect with so many people in NYC and meet different queer creatives and locals. Now … I’m still an introvert, but an introvert with less fear of meeting new people. #yassss

Why do you love working for GO? Working for a lesbian and queer women’s publication that has been running since the 2000s is badass. Whenever I’m in the office, I’m always starstruck by the archival shelf of GO Magazine issues from over the years. Each and every one of those issues are a symbol of queer unity, resistance, and defiance. Getting the opportunity to be a part of that history has been an empowering experience for me.

How would you describe GO in three words? Bold, essential, community.
