Hayden Panettiere, ‘Heroes’ and ‘Nashville’ Star, Dies at 36
The actress came out as bisexual earlier this year.
Out actress Hayden Panettiere has died. She was 36 years old. Panettiere’s representative confirmed her passing to ABC News.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” her representative shared in a statement.
There were no further details surrounding the actress’s passing immediately available.
Panettiere’s breakout role came as Claire Bennet, the superpowered cheerleader, on the hit series Heroes. She went on to star in the television series Nashville, as well as multiple entries in the Scream franchise and the film Remember the Titans.
Earlier this year, Panettiere came out as bisexual in the lead-up to the release of her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning.
“It’s sad I had to wait until I was 36 years old to share that part of me, but better late than never, right?” she said during an interview with Us Weekly.
