It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our longtime contributor and former Special Projects Editor, Dan Tracer.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our longtime contributor and former Special Projects Editor, Dan Tracer.

Dan’s talents and gentle, mischievous spirit are irreplaceable, and his legacy will live on at GO Magazine. His writing was wickedly witty and uniquely his own. As an editor, he possessed a rare ability to distill complex thoughts into impactful, poetic prose. He was also an essential and extraordinarily patient and thoughtful mentor to our staff and interns.

Whether discussing culture, sharing his favorite local spots, or thoughtfully and curiously exploring the lives of those around him, Dan’s presence was a gift. His loving soul, soft smile, and signature wit will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Dan recently spent time with friends, family, and the GO team, and he was brimming with excitement about his recent move to Manhattan. The immediacy of his presence lingers, as we hold his essence in our hearts.

To honor our dear friend and colleague, our next issue will be dedicated to the brilliant and singular Dan Tracer.
