US mobile games firm Factory Games recently launched “Valet Hustler,” a game which aims to raise awareness about gay and
lesbian marital rights. The $.99 iPhone application features two gay characters who run their own valet business. Their sexuality is central to the storyline.
“We set out to not only create a game that is an absolute blast to play with incredible visuals and top notch audio, but we also wanted to make a social statement that gays and lesbians should have the same marital rights as heterosexuals,” Andrew Littlefield, CEO of Factory Games, told Mobile Entertainment.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the Human Rights Campaign, one of the largest LGBT political advocacy groups in the United States. HRC is currently focusing most of its efforts on attaining marriage rights.
