Fans have long speculated that actor Chloë Grace Moretz is queer but we might’ve gotten official confirmation this past Valentine’s Day. LA model Kate Harrison shared an Instagram story of a photo of her and Moretz snuggled up, with the caption, “Happy Valentine’s Day,” in which Moretz was tagged. Moretz then shared the (since-expired) story to her account.
The pair have been romantically linked since 2018, when they were spotted kissing outside of Nobu Malibu, and then heading to Soho House arm-in-arm where they were spotted kissing again (for a whole half hour!). However, the two never posted about their relationship…until now.
Moretz has still never officially come out but she has been both an advocate of queer and trans rights as well as a beacon of representation for queer youth, given her role in “The Miseducation of Cameron Post.” In a recent Instagram story, she reposted trans actress Alexandra Billings’ comments about the slew of anti-gay and anti-trans right-wing legislation.
Both of Moretz’s brothers are openly gay and she “grew up fighting on their behalf,” she told Gay Times. “So I took it upon myself with their blessing to go out there and talk about it, and to tell people, ‘Hey, being gay is not a big deal at all. But be proud and be out there and raise the flag high. Be a part of the community, and be for the community.’
“So it was never a question to me whether or not I was ever going to be an advocate, and what that meant to my heart and how it shaped me.”
