Today marks a major milestone for the newest member of the WNBA franchise: the Toronto Tempo revealed its first uniform. Designers set out to convey a bold, clean expression of the Tempo identity—and clearly succeeded. “The modern designs are rooted in the city, built for its fans, and crafted to reflect the Tempo’s forward-driving spirit,” according to Tempo’s announcement.

The jersey features the team’s signature colors – Borealis Blue and Tempo Bordeaux – along with the Tempo’s familiar six speed lines, which represent the six boroughs that make up Toronto, each with its own unique identity, plus the five players on the court supported by the sixth player in the game: the fans.

The design sets out to capture the essence of the team and its origins. “The movement and variation in thickness mirror the heartbeat, shifts in pace, and rhythm of both the city and the game — a nod to basketball’s natural “tempos” and moments of momentum.”

The uniform also features patches from Founding Partners, Sephora and CIBC, with Sephora’s logo on the shoulder, and CIBC’s patch on the abdomen.

“Every detail of these uniforms is intentional. From the color story to the speed lines, we’ve created a design that brings our brand to life and represents our city, our fans, and our team,” Whitney Bell, Chief Marketing Officer, Toronto Tempo, said in the announcement. “We cannot wait for our players – and our fans – to wear them with pride.”

The reveal includes a WNBA Nike Heroine Edition in White. In creating the second jersey, a WNBA Nike Explorer Edition in Tempo Bordeaux, Tempo offers “a look designed to be worn confidently on and off the court” — and one that will be available for fans to purchase in January 2026.
