100 Women We Love: Class of 2009
Once again, we celebrate our favorite out and proud women. As difficult as it is to narrow it down to just 100, this year’s eclectic list includes artists, athletes, club promoters, community organizers, entertainers, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, politicians and plaintiffs, who are making a difference in our world and the world at large.
Cathy DeBuono
Cathy DeBuono is hot and she is not cooling down
anytime soon. She recently starred in the multi-award winning feature film Out at the Wedding, and this year’s festival circuit film, And Then Came Lola. A graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, DeBuono is no stranger to the stage, film, television or the web. She has guest starred on LOGO’s EX’s & Oh’s, The Pretender and Pacific Blue and has held recurring roles on Chicago Hope and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. DeBuono has also starred in the hit web series 3Way and produces her own video blog, What’s YOUR Problem? Her personal website has become a destination for members of the lesbian community around the world, complete with chat rooms, forums, blogs, video and live broadcasts. Most recently, DeBuono co-created a reality travel show with fellow actress Jill Bennett, called Word on the Street. – KD
