The ‘Hacks’ star celebrated the blue wave by debuting a new impression.

Hannah Einbinder is celebrating the Democratic victories across the U.S. by debuting a new impression of disgraced Michigan representative Haley Stevens—and it’s pretty great.

As Americans anxiously waited for the results of the midterms to start rolling in, Einbinder took to Instagram stories with a promise. “if our guys (gender neutral) win tonight i will debut my perfect haley stevens impression,” she wrote.

Obviously, there were many more pressing issues at stake to make people turn out and vote blue in this election, but still, the idea of a Stevens impression from the Hacks star seemed like a fun addition to the anticipated celebrations.

Stevens, of course, has made headlines in recent days after flip-flopping on her promise to support Democrat Abdul El-Sayed’s Senate campaign in Michigan after he defeated her in the primaries. Instead, she stunned supporters, friends, and staffers alike when she abruptly announced that she was endorsing Republican candidate Mike Rogers. The move has turned Stevens into a punchline as critics accuse her of betraying everything she claimed to stand for over the course of her career.

As the blue tidal wave came crashing down, Einbinder—unlike Stevens—made good on her promise, sharing her deeply amusing take on Stevens and “the Michigan way.”

Fans were immediately obsessed as the video sparked calls for Einbinder to follow in her mother, Laraine Newman’s, footsteps and take her impression to Saturday Night Live.

Most importantly, El-Sayed—who notably refused to budge on his support for trans people even as other Democrats across the country have started backing down—won his race for the Senate against Rogers. Now that’s the Michigan way.
