Molly Grace, a rising pop star based in Nashville, just dropped her new single and music video titled “Bow Wow” that’s “bolder and more playful than ever.” After her debut album “Blush” in September, fans have been itching for a new release.
She explains that “this song was born out of getting played so badly that there was nothing left to do but find the humor in it all through a catchy, tongue-in-cheek pop song.” Sometimes, if you can’t be sad anymore, you just need to laugh. If you’ve overplayed “Good Luck Babe!” and need a new song to jam out to while trying not to cry, you need to add this to your Spotify playlist ASAP!
The music video is set in a trailer with Molly—cigarette in hand, hair curlers on and dog in tow—as the star. Not only is it aesthetically stunning, but it also ties into her fun lyricism comparing her relationship to that of a dog and owner. She sings “acting like I keep you on a leash or something/ not my fault that you can’t go out without humping something.” If you have a dog, you unfortunately know the truth in that statement. You might also know the truth of that statement if you’ve ever had a partner with a wandering eye.

She continues with the canine theme in the chorus, singing “You don’t want a girl you want a bitch now/ keep it up I’ll put you in the dog house.” In the next verse she compares her ex to a dog that needs to be put up for adoption. Overall, with the fun lyrics that hide the sad experience of being taken for granted, paired with the colorful music video, this song will give you life during these cold, dark months.
