Tig Notaro Admits She’s Really Bad At ‘Wheel Of Fortune’

February 16, 2023

Fallon was delighted to remind Notaro of her flub as the two sat down to talk.

Tig Notaro recently appeared on the “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday February 8, where she reflected on her hilarious misfortune on an episode of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.”

When Notaro competed on the third season of game show last October, she was asked to solve a puzzle which read “crashing my…” and a variety of letters that obviously hinted the second half “exercise bike.”

Well, it wasn’t obvious to our dear Tig, who in all seriousness, guessed “crashing my exorcism bill.” Fallon was delighted to remind Notaro of her flub as the two sat down to talk. He played a clip, letting us relive the hilarious moment, to which Notaro followed up her incorrect guess with asking for it to be cut from the tape and saying  “I’m not going to be humiliated on national television.” Host Pat Sajak replied “It’s too late for that.” Sajak and Notaro’s fellow contestants, Nikki Glaser and Thomas Lennon, could not contain their laughter after Notaro’s bizarre guess.

“What was going through your head at the moment?” Fallon asked Notaro.

“Well, first of all I was thinking, ‘I’d never imagined I’d be on Wheel of Fortune.’ Second of all, I was thinking, ‘I don’t imagine I’ll be very good at this.’”

Notaro concluded, “And then third, I was like, ‘Well, I’m correct.’”

“I wasn’t nervous,” she told Fallon. “You know, I was wrong. I was just wrong.”

We love Notaro’s sense of humor when she’s playing a character and when she’s just being herself. And in her defense, it was October when the “Wheel Of Fortune” episode took place, so exorcism wasn’t that far off of a guess.
