The Dinah Is Officially Back — And Has A New Home!

January 25, 2022

“It’s official!!! The Dinah returns this FALL and we are MOVING!” organizers posted on Instagram.

Book your vacations for September 2022! The Dinah returns this fall to its new home in Palm Springs.

The Dinah Shore 2022 will take place from September 21 through the 26 at the Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs. Organizers announced via Instagram on Monday that all events will take place at the venue, which has 389 rooms and two pools.

“It’s official!!! The Dinah returns this FALL and we are MOVING!” the message read. “We’re excited to announce ALL our events will be held at the beautiful Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs! … LES GOOOOOO!”

The Dinah, the world’ largest lesbian, queer, and non-binary event, returned in 2021 following a 2020 hiatus due to the Covid pandemic. It has previously been held at the Hilton Hotel in Palm Springs, with events taking place at the hotel and the Palm Springs Convention Center.

Organizers have scheduled a full list of pool parties and events for The Dinah 2022, including a pre-party on Wednesday, September 21; an opening party on Thursday, September 22; the Black and White Ball on Friday, September 23; and the L Word Pool Party on Saturday, September 24.

This year’s musical guests and DJ lineup are still in the planning stages. Tickets will be available soon, according to the Instagram announcement.

Following a hiatus in 2020 for the Covid pandemic, The Dinah roared back in 2021, in time for its 30th anniversary party. Now, over three decades old, the celebrated pool party extravaganza remains a staple of the queer social calendar.
