Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico are now a married couple.

Mariana Varela (Argentina) and Fabiola Valentín (Puerto Rico) announced their marriage on social media late last month. A video montage posted to Instagram shared images of the happy couple throughout their relationship, culminating in a post-marriage ceremony of the pair standing outside of San Juan’s Marriage Bureau dressed in white.

The video also features clips from the couple’s engagement, which takes place in an apartment bedecked with rose petals and balloons spelling out the words, “Marry Me?” In the shot, Valentín slips a ring on Valera’s finger.

“After choosing to keep our relationship private, we open our doors to a special day. 28/10/22,” the couple posted (as reported by Hola!).

Valentín and Varela met while both were competing in the Miss Grand International pageant in 2020. Although they were open about their friendship on social media, they hadn’t identified as a couple until announcing their marriage.

The video has garnered over 150,000 likes, and a multitude of well-wishes.

“Omg congratulations,” wrote Abena Akuaba, who represented Ghana at Miss Grand International. “MGI brought together a beautiful union.”

Lala Guedes, who represented Brazil at the competition, wrote, “I hope you are very happy! And what a beautiful couple.”

Both Valera and Valentín are models, Hola! reports, with Valera working on multiple modeling campaigns and Valentin with multiple agencies.

Both made it to the top 10 in the 2020 Miss Grand International pageant.

Congrats to the happy couple!
