Yalla Party, QTPOC comedy, Queer the Vote.

This week’s roundup of New York lesbian events includes a bunch of events for QTPOC!

Friday

Elixir: A Queer & Trans Asian Pacific Islander Happy Hour at Atlas Social Club (753 9th Ave.) at 7 p.m. — This happy hour for queer and trans Asians and Pacific Islanders takes place twice a month. Two for one drinks and a supportive setting for meeting and chatting with fellow queer Asians.

Yalla! Party at The Deep End (1080 Wyckoff Ave.) at 10 p.m. — Yalla! Party is a QTPOC safe space and dance party with a particular focus on queer and trans North African, Arab and Middle Eastern folks. This weekend’s party features DJs JusTala, MD, and Zina. Tickets are $10 before midnight, $15 after.

Saturday

Queer The Vote at The Rosemont (63 Montrose Ave.) at 7 p.m. — Come support your local queer candidates at this benefit for three queer people who are running for office in Brooklyn. The candidates are Jesse Pierce, Samy Nemir Olivares, and Genesis Aquino.

Glo in the City Queer Comedy at Daily Press Ocean Hill (38 Somers St.) at 8 p.m. — Glo in the City is a QTPOC comedy show that happens every month in Brooklyn. This Saturday is still Black History Month (thanks to Leap Day), so performances will be Black History Month themed! Hosted by Glo Butler.

Sunday

Meditation for Queer and Trans People of Color at Third Root Community Health Center (380 Marlborough Rd.) at 6:45 p.m. — This meditation group meets every first Sunday of the month, and it’s led by and for QTPOC. Meditations are 5-10 minutes long, accompanied by discussions and readings by QTPOC authors.
