Visit Philadelphia + TED Democracy on the Road with Dear Democracy Truck

Dear Democracy, a mobile activation that will travel to major cities including Philadelphia, New York City and Atlanta throughout 2025, collecting handwritten messages about democracy from the public.

This tour stop coincides with National Coming Out Day on October 11. The multi-city tour features a truck displaying oversized TED letters where participants can share personal messages, reflections and aspirations for modern democracy.

Nearly 250 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Philadelphia is celebrating its legacy as the birthplace of modern democracy with TED Democracy. On June 13th, 2026, the city will host global leaders and communities sharing a series of never-before-heard TED talks focused on building a brighter, more inclusive future. To get the word out, they’re launching an interactive mobile activation that will take TED Democracy on the road, and their first stop is the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center in New York City from 11am-6pm, on October 11, 2025.
