Third Annual Armory NYC Indoor Marathon Presented by NYRR

Runners of all abilities have an opportunity to run on the same surface where not only Olympic gold medalists have run but also home to the only 2 sub-4 minute indoor high school miles have taken place- The Armory. This March, participants will get a chance to run on the same dynamic 200-meter track during the Third Annual Armory NYC Indoor Marathon Presented by NYRR (March 16-18) that includes a 2-8-person relay. Runners and their teams have many different time slots to choose from on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. This event mixes in a healthy activity – teams can be as large as 8 and each person can alternate three different times in the relay. This allows individual runners – from the serious long-distance trainer to the weekend jogger – to pick their mileage as each team completes a 211-lap day full of fun, physical activity and teamwork … plus enjoy, friendship, competition, music and food. Teams are placed in different corporate categories such as Financial, Law, Media, Medical/Healthcare, Athletic Clubs, Open, Family and Individual. There are even College and High School divisions. Last year, more than 100 relay teams participated. Relay teams will compete for prize money, including $1,000 for fastest male, female and co-ed teams and a $1,000 bonus for any team that runs less than 2 hours.
