The Bang Group’s “Nut/Cracked”

The Bang Group returns for its 16th season of David Parker’s “Nut/Cracked,’ a comic, neo-vaudevillian holiday ballet, performed by an ensemble of 21 dancers joined by student dancers from The Dalton School, Frank Sinatra H.S. for the P.A., and e.g. dance. Parker’s witty choreography ranges from pointe to tap, and is inspired by intoxication, greed, competition, Chinese take-out, bubble-wrap – you name it. The score is also wide-ranging, with the traditional Tchaikovsky score along with renderings by Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller. A one-hour delight for audiences of all ages.
