March 21 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm EDT
$30 – $65

The Stonewall Chorale, the first LGBTQIA+ choir in the U.S. now in its 49th season–and named one of ClassicFM’s best LGBTQ+ music ensembles around the world–presents two works composed at the height of the Classical era in it spring concerts: In celebration of Women’s History Month, the rarely performed, exuberant Dixit Dominus (1774) by Marianna Martines, a trailblazer of the era credited as the first woman of record to compose a symphony and the first woman to be elected into the 100-year old male dominated Bologna Academy; and Mozart’s monumental Requiem (1791). The choir is led by Cynthia Powell, now in her 24th year as Artistic Director who has long been an activist in the LGBTQ community.
