Led by former Greenlight bookseller Alex, our Queer Book Group meets monthly to discuss contemporary fiction and nonfiction titles that relate to queer experience, identity, and community.

For December, the group discusses Wild Geese by Soula Emmanuel. A winner of the Lambda Literary Award in Transgender Fiction, Emmanuel’s notable debut is a poignant, sprawling story of trans life and love, written with wit and warmth. It is a tale of dislocations and relocations, encounters, and accidents: a novel of past lives, messy feelings, and the desire to start afresh.
