Please join us for a day of feeling good while doing good, here at The Armory.
Usually a space for spectacular competition, on November 11, 2017, we are going to be taking a breath in unison to raise funds for Armory College Prep, the robust, college access program run by the Armory Foundation for underserved New York City students.
Up to 500 practitioners will take part in some of the larger classes in this fabled space, designed to allow for an opportunity to be part of an event larger than one’s self.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind journey through mind, body and spirit wellness, guided by some of New York City’s most respected instructors. Practitioners of all skill levels are welcome to take part in one or as many classes as they wish.

Instructors
Taryn Toomey: 9:00am – 10:30am
The Class by Taryn Toomey is known for transforming students through a magical, virtually unexplainable, cathartic workout. All of her experiences as a woman, a mother, a yogi, and a New Yorker informed the creation of her method — a mindbody fitness experience that guides students from their personal comfort zones to intuitive places of growth.
Taryn opened her flagship studio in Tribeca earlier this year. Her method also has a presence in Los Angeles, Vancouver, the Hamptons, Nantucket and Greenwich, CT. Ever the alchemist, Taryn has also developed The Layer (a transformational cleanse program) The Retreatment (international luxury retreats), and The Airelume (a handcrafted jewelry line).
Elizabeth Barnett: 11:00am – 12:30pm
Elizabeth Barnett offers clear direction, strong hands-on assists and great music while weaving in yogic philosophy throughout her class.
She has received extensive training in Jivamukti Yoga and is excited by a yoga practice where spirituality, physicality, art and activism meet. She strives to curate safe spaces and elevated experiences combining music, mantra, movement, the practical application of yogic philosophy, clear direction, strong hands-on assists (optional), art, activism, humor and heart.

Elena Brower: 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Elena Brower’s class combines yoga asana, breathwork and meditation to offer a comprehensive experience of your body in practice and your mind in quiet space.
Mama, author, yoga teacher and speaker, Brower is influenced by several yoga traditions and recognized internationally for her expertise in offering practices for approaching our world with realistic reverence. She is the author of Art of Attention, a yoga workbook that has been translated into six languages and the creator of Teach.Yoga, a virtual home for yoga teachers worldwide. Her latest book, Practice You, will be released in fall 2017. Elena is also an executive producer of On Meditation: Documenting the Inner Journey, a film that intimately explores meditation experiences. She’s contributed to the Huffington Post, MindBodyGreen, and Yoga Journal, and has been featured in the New York Times and on major network news channels.
Sri Dharma Mittra: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
Join Sri Dharma Mittra for a lesson in Dharma Yoga. Be ready for a graceful, yet challenging practice representing 50 years of dedication to classical yoga. The practice is appropriate for students of all levels, from beginner to lifelong practitioners and accessible to so many because it meets each student where they are and according to their condition. Sri Dharma’s passion for helping students go deeper in their practice using only the best and most efficient techniques with the ultimate goal of Self-realization (gaining absolute knowledge of the True Self) is reflected in all aspects of the Dharma Yoga system. Dharma Yoga has roots in all nine forms of yoga, including Hatha, Raja, Karma, Kriya, Bhakti, Japa, Laya and Jnana, as well as a focus on the Eight Limbs of Yoga (Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga) with great emphasis placed on Yama and Niyama.
Mittra was one of the first independent yoga teachers on the East Coast and has initiated hundreds of thousands on the path of Yogic practice and teaching. Sri Dharma has been teaching classes continuously almost every day since he first started in 1967. He is affectionately known as a “Teachers’ Teacher”.
