Abby is a daughter of five mothers (mostly lesbians). Turkey basted into existence, her immaculate conception-like origin story has always defined her. But now, Abby is the same age her mom was when she had her. Cue: identity crisis. There’s gay divorce and sexual awakenings. Jewishness and being fetishized by Germans. OCD and career heartache. But instead of going to therapy, Abby wrote this musical.

Eddie Grey Director

I write, direct & act and the Guinness World Records says I’m the first gay man to do so (we live in a post-truth world). I’m from Australia and while the reality-star-to-president-pipeline was what initially drew me to the US, I stayed for the Universal health care.

I come from an acting background (sorry), and was on Broadway in shows such as The Book of Mormon and Harmony and Wicked to name exactly three. When my body got sick of doing six-hundred performances of the same show, it started a war of attrition against my spirit. That’s when I turned to writing and directing and other things that allowed me to sit down. Short films I directed and wrote have been acquired by Prime Video, TINY, Dekko and Shorts.TV. As a playwright, I most recently won the Australian Theatre Festival New Play Award for my play CIRC, about a dude getting an elective circumcision only to be faced with his foreskin in human form demanding answers. I also work as a speech writer and adviser to a former Australian Premier where I write speeches on everything from SpaceTech to Veterans Affairs but nothing about circumcision. But as the guy breaking up with his throuple said, I’ll leave you two it.
