LSM is bringing together three in-person panelists for this year’s Women’s (Leather) History Month event.
Leather Herstory Panel: Building & Sustaining Community
For this year’s leather panel, we bring together three longtime local organizers to discuss their various experiences in founding, sustaining, and supporting local leather, kink, and/or BDSM organizations.
Panelist Bios:
Goddess Narcissa (she/her), a pansexual Asian, is a professional domme, mentor, educator, and artisan whip maker dedicated to fostering and sustaining leather and kink communities. With a deep commitment to community service, advocacy, and creating inclusive spaces, she serves on the board of The Eulenspiegel Society (TES) and currently contributes to the organization’s educational programming and event planning efforts, including the coordination of TES Fest. Her work focuses on the intersections of education, diversity, and leadership within the kink and leather lifestyles.
Sally (she/her) has been a supporter of the leather community for over 30 years, and became a member of LSM in 1994. She was also a member of the Sirens MC. She was one of the founders of the Glove Party collective, which threw SAFE, SANE, CONSENSUAL parties for women and transfolk. Back in the 1990s, she helped explain the difference between BDSM and abuse to feminists who weren’t part of the community.
Sir Raven (She/They) is a NYC BD/SM, kink educator, Leather Woman sometimes Leather Daddy, Yoruba Priest, and Artist. They assisted in forming the second iteration of the ONYX Pearl’s NY/Northeast. They’ve held several positions in MAsT Metro NY & MAsT Manhattan. (Masters and slaves together). As well as TES and TESFest (The Eulenspiegel Society). They have taught for most NY leather /kink organizations, and is the founder of Black Latin Xplore (BLX) a non-profit focusing on bringing leather/kink and BDSM education to LGBTQIA+ Black and Brown communities while paying educators for their labor. BLX explores and supports the intersections of sexual orientation, aging, race, gender, and creative communities.
Moderator Bios to come!
