Folsom Street East Street Festival XXI: SLUTS

Historically, we queers have been known to reclaim words “the outside world” has thrown at us pejoratively. This year, the folks behind Folsom Street East — one of the largest Pride events on the East Coast and an annual gathering that particularly focuses on the Leather, Kink and Fetish communities — will celebrate a new definition of S.L.U.T.S: Sex, Love, Unity, Trust and Safety. The theme encourages discourse to challenge the idea that sex positivity is neither negative nor harmful — and aims to let attendees’ true colors (and leathers and latexes, oh my!) show. Plus, your ticket includes sizzlin’ stage performances and benefits three crucial organizations: the New York City Anti-Violence Project, Transcend Legal and Trinity Place Shelter.
