Books Are Gay: How to Write and Publish Queer Literature
August 16, 2022 @ 6:30 pm
FreeIn conversation: author Nicole Pasulka and editor Zack Knoll on publishing queer literature.
Join us for a conversation between author Nicole Pasulka and editor Zack Knoll about Pasulka’s new book, How You Get Famous: Ten Years of Drag Madness in Brooklyn, and the joys and challenges of publishing queer literature.
In a rare work of literary journalism documenting queer communities, Pasulka spent years reporting and writing about a group of iconoclastic performers with undeniable charisma, talent and a hell of a lot to prove. As an editor for several trade presses, Knoll has acquired this and numerous other unique and boundary-pushing books and continues to challenge the publishing industry to embrace diverse and marginalized voices.
