B&N Pride Festival at B&N Union Square in NYC

Celebrate Pride with Barnes & Noble – Union Square in New York City as we host a three day long festival celebrating queer literature and community on Saturday, June 14th – Monday, June 16th.

On Saturday, June 14th at 3pm join our “Lit-erally Gay” Book Club. Similar to our Speed Dating events, we’ll provide fun book-themed conversation starters and attendees will have time to chat one-on-one about their favorite reads. There will be photo-ops, raffles, giveaways, and more!

On Sunday, June 15th at 3pm we will host our “Let Me Be Perfectly Queer” Panel with authors Prabal Gurung (WALK LIKE A GIRL), Christina Li (THE MANOR OF DREAMS), Debbie Millman (LOVE LETTER TO A GARDEN), Jesse James Rose (SORRY I KEEP CRYING DURING SEX) and moderated by TJ Alexander.

And rounding out our B&N Pride Fest on Monday, June 16th at 6pm is our “GYA 😉” Panel with authors Zakiya Jamal (IF WE WERE A MOVIE), Alice Lin (LOVE POINTS TO YOU), Page Powars (AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES), Brian Selznick (RUN AWAY WITH ME), K. Wroten (EVERYONE SUX BUT YOU) and moderated by David Levithan.

To make this event safe and enjoyable for all attendees, please read the below guidelines ahead of buying a ticket, so you know what to expect on the day. To avoid disappointment, we must stress that there will be no access to the event for non-ticketholders.

Saturday, June 14th:

3PM Lit-erally Gay Book Club – $5.00 (Admission + $5 B&N Gift Card): **LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE**:

A ticket PER PERSON includes:

• One $5 B&N Gift Card.
• Admission to the event space for the Lit-erally Gay Book Club event.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Attendees will have 5 minutes to chat with someone before hosts signal to switch. This will allow for approximately 12 discussions per person.
• There will be time before and after for attendees to mingle, as we will have photo-ops, raffles, giveaways, and more!

• Merchandise at the event is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sunday, June 15th:

“Let Me Be Perfectly Queer” Panel Admission – 3 PM – FREE (Admission to the panel event space): **LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE**:

A ticket PER PERSON includes:

• Admission to the event space for the panel featuring authors Prabal Gurung, Christina Li, Debbie Millman, Jesse James Rose and moderated by TJ Alexander.

PLEASE NOTE:

• This is a one-hour discussion, followed by a signing line with all authors.
• Purchasing a book by one of these authors from Barnes & Noble Union Square day of is required to join the signing line. Proof of purchase will be required.
• Books for signing will be limited to two per author: one personalized; one signature only.
• Authors will pose for photos. A B&N staffer will be on-hand to take your photo.
• Merchandise at the event is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Ticket holders will be admitted into the event beginning at 2:30 PM the day of the event.

Monday, June 16th:

“GYA 😉” Panel Admission – 6 PM – FREE (Admission to the panel event space): **LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE**:

A ticket PER PERSON includes:

• Admission to the event space for the panel featuring Zakiya Jamal, Alice Lin, Page Powars, Brian Selznick, K. Wroten and moderated by David Levithan.

PLEASE NOTE:

• This is a one-hour discussion, followed by a signing line with all authors.
• Authors will sign and personalize books, but purchasing a book by one of these authors from Barnes & Noble Union Square day of is required to join the signing line. Proof of purchase will be required.
• Authors will pose for photos. A B&N staffer will be on-hand to take your photo.
• Merchandise at the event is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Ticket holders will be admitted into the event beginning at 5:30 PM the day of the event.

GUIDELINES:

Please note that Eventbrite is the only authorized dealer for this event. Each person must have a ticket to enter.

Please have a copy of your ticket(s) available (either printed out or on your phone) for check in.

Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted into the event space.

REFUNDS

Attendees can receive refunds up to 24 hours before your event start time.

If you are unable to attend the event, Barnes & Noble – Union Square will hold your album(s) and/or gift card(s) for seven days after the event. Please contact the store to arrange your pickup.

Should this event be canceled, all customers will be refunded their ticket price to the original method of payment per Eventbrite’s refund policy.
