Over the weekend, ‘Bottoms’ finally hit movie theaters after premiering at SXSW in March, and the queers are pumped.
Set to be the newest generation-defining movie set in a high school, ‘Bottoms’ is the story of two lesbians who want to hook up with some cheerleaders before they graduate. So, what do they do? Start a fight club, naturally. The movie is packed with stars, including Rachel Sennott (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Kaia Gerber, and Marshawn Lynch. Best of all, the soundtrack was made by none other than Charli XCX.
So far, people love it. The film is currently sitting at a 95% on the Tomatometer and a 100% audience score on Rotton Tomatoes. You know who else is loving it? Twitter (can we still call it that?). Here are some of the best takes of this soon-to-be classic queer film:
The fact that a raunchy comedy movie directed by a woman with two women leads is getting certified fresh on rotten tomatoes with a score of 98% AND its now considered the best rated movie of the summer just shows how much we deserve more movies like #BottomsMovie pic.twitter.com/YjBFxFxoyz

Saw #BottomsMovie last night and it’s probably the funniest movie of the last 2 decades. Earnest performances from Ayo Edebiri & Rachel Sennott with a hilariously dark, horny, silly sense of humor. Plus a nostalgic needle drop. 100% seeing it again. You should too! pic.twitter.com/NYz4nTIFPa

What’s so cool when watching #BottomsMovie is realizing that you’re watching THE new instantly iconic teen comedy that will not only be celebrated as a modern classic but also simultaneously influence (female) filmmakers for years to come. It’s a generation-defining game-changer. pic.twitter.com/NA7PSYkfV5
