Pedro Pascal Stands With ‘The Dolls’, JoJo Siwa Is Back On Reality TV, And Gabby Windey Disses Her Ex

Your weekly entertainment roundup.
Clairo Is Glad To Be Queer
In the aquatic-themed cover story of Seventeen, Clairo opened up about her sexuality and her distaste for labels. The highly secretive “Sofia” singer shares that she has grown to understand her sexuality without putting pressure on herself to definitively label her identity. “I’ve had a better experience with my queerness once I just shut the f*ck up and let it happen to me. If I date a girl, I date a girl. If I date a guy, I date a guy,” she said. “Being queer is a huge part of who I am. I felt so free once I understood that I love anybody and everybody. I’ll kiss anyone.”
The singer shares that she has taken her fair share of “Am I Gay” tests and wishes she hadn’t put so much pressure on herself when she was figuring out her identity. While she might not have a definitive answer for her sexuality she knows one thing to be true, “It feels good to be queer.”
Trans Musician Honey Dijon Parties With Pedro Pascal
Everyone’s current favorite leading man, Pedro Pascal, turned 50 over the weekend and donned an iconic “Protect the Dolls” shirt. The shirt, released by designer Connor Ives, refers to trans women who often refer to one another and themselves as “the dolls.” While the shirt appears to be sold out now, all of the proceeds went to Trans LifeLine, an important trans-led hotline for trans people.
In a photo widely circulated on social media, Pascal posed with Honey Dijon, the beloved trans musician recently featured on Beyoncé’s Renaissance album. Pascal was wearing a “House of Dijon” hat and tagged the musician on his story. Fans of Pascal will not be surprised by his pro-trans attire as he has been a hugely outspoken ally of the trans community throughout the years. While there are rumors about his own sexuality circulating, it is clear that he takes his role as a trans ally seriously, and you can’t help but love him for that.
J.K. Rowling Goes After Asexuals
You might know J.K. Rowling for her infamous terf behavior, the black mold growing in her house, or maybe the book series she wrote once upon a time. On April 6, International Asexuality Day, she came out as an equal opportunity bigot and added asexuals to her hitlist.
The disgraced author turned anti-trans activist took to X posting an asexuality infographic and wrote “Happy International Fake Oppression Day to everyone who wants complete strangers to know they don’t fancy a shag.” Maybe the black mold on her walls has really gotten to her brain. Ms. Rowling, I beg of you to log off for good.
Katie Gavin And Lucy Dacus Grace Cover Of Alternative Press
Check on your nose-ringed friends because these new Katie Gavin and Lucy Dacus photos might just send them into a spiral. Ahead of their national tour, the two musicians sat down to interview one another for Alternative Press. On the cover, the pair recreated k.d. lang’s iconic 1993 Vanity Fair cover with Cindy Crawford.
Lucy Dacus & Katie Gavin Talk Songwriting, Lesbian Literature, and Touring Together
In a video released by the publication, Dacus and Gavin, in the exact same outfit, chat through fits of giggles about how they met, their first musical impressions of one another, Dacus’ new record, finding love, and how their songwriting processes differ. Gavin also discussed how she has handled her own solo music adventure alongside her longtime band MUNA. But fear not MUNA fans, we have proof that MUNA has been in the studio, as just this morning Gavin released a MUNA remix of her song, “Aftertaste.”

Ana de Armas Wants To Play Evelyn Hugo
Ana de Armas has seen the fancasts of her as Evelyn Hugo, the protagonist in the hugely popular queer novel The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and finally responded to the outcry. In a video shared by Entertainment Tonight, the popular actress said she would love to play Hugo and added that “it’s a great role and it’s a beautiful story.”
The jury is still out on whether the film will ever get made due to its lack of news and recent change in director; however, fans remain hopeful that someday it will reach their screens. While I remain convinced that it should have been made into a series (with each episode detailing another husband DUH), I am excited at the prospect of the film, especially if, as fans have theorized, Celia St. James will be played by Bridgerton’s Hannah Dodd. Netflix, please don’t let the lesbians down.
Is Gabby Windey Losing Bachelor Nation Support?
You know her, you love her, you watch TikTok hopecore edits of her; over the past few months, Gabby Windey, beloved Bachelor and The Traitors star, has stolen the hearts of reality TV fans and lesbians alike. After her recent appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast, however, Bachelor Nation, her once loyal fan group, has turned on her.
When Windey was on the dating show in 2021, her breakup with Clayton Echard shot Windey to fame as she confronted him for telling multiple girls he was in love with them and refused to let him walk her out of the show. When asked about her season and relationship with Eachard on the comedy podcast, Windey said she couldn’t believe she had fallen for him. “So if I can fall in love with this toe looking a**, skinny jean wearing…” she joked. “Have you seen his dancing videos? They will make you run. I’m gonna send you one and you’ll wish you didn’t have eyes.”
Echard took to Instagram to respond to these comments and called Windey out for what he deems to be bullying. “Gabby, what you’re doing is bullying. There’s no other way around it. You’re attacking me for a passion that I love,” he said. He added that dancing, his newfound hobby, has given him self-confidence and self-love that he had never had before. “You have such a large platform and you’re setting a really bad example,” he ended.
The comments under the post are largely supportive and all lean toward anti-Gabby sentiments. While her comments aren’t sweet, I don’t think making fun of your very public ex is exactly a cancelable offense. I stand with my problematic queer queen.
JoJo Siwa Is Back On Her Gay Pop Madness
In the announcement video for JoJo Siwa’s participation in Celebrity Big Brother UK, the queer influencer revealed a “ceo of gay pop” tattoo while saying, “The fans have dubbed me the CEO of gay pop, so that’s me baby.” Which one of you told her that???
She addressed the fact that her following finds her big personality a little annoying and even jokes that she won’t be able to hide in the house. In a very Miranda Cosgrove “I actually do cuss a little” moment, Siwa asks, “Can I swear in the Big Brother house? Good.” Everything she does really does give 12-year-old who just learned a bad word, and it’s honestly everything. God bless the other participants who are going to live with her high-energy chaos. I wish them strength.
Hannah Einbinder Again Comments On Ava/Deborah Romance
Ahead of the premiere of the fourth season of HBO hit show Hacks, Hannah Einbinder commented that she is among lesbians who want a romance between Einbinder’s character, Ava, and Deborah, played by Jean Smart. “I was sort of referencing the outcry, you could call it, the grassroots movement of lesbians who have been advocating for that,” she said in reference to her viral clip from Stephen Colbert in which she told fans the romance was not in the cards.
“I’m really in touch with my constituency. I hear you, I see you, I feel you, I am you,” she joked. The first episodes of the show are set to hit HBO on April 10, and as a disappointed Ava and Deborah shipper, I will still be tuning in. Here’s a top-tier ‘Avorah’ TikTok edit for all members of the lesbian grassroots movement.
