NYC Pride 2023 Is Going To Blow Your Mind

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year: NYC PRIDE! There is nothing that gets us more excited than celebrating Pride in the best city in the world. While The March is the main event, there are events happening all month to keep the party going! Check out our highlighted picks for this year’s NYC Pride celebration.

The Rally

The NYC Pride Rally is BACK! The first Rally occurred one month after the Stonewall Riots in June 1969, when 500 people gathered for a “Gay Power” demonstration in Washington Square Park followed by a candlelight vigil in Sheridan Square. NYC Pride has continued this proud tradition by hosting the event in various locations throughout the city. Kick off your NYC Pride experience by supporting & amplifying the LGBTQIA+ communities progress and learn more about how you can make a difference moving forward!

Date: Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets: Free, All Ages

Location: Outdoors, in front of The Archive (154 Christopher St, New York, NY 10014)

The Brunch

An indulgent culinary experience including a sponsored open bar for VIP ticket holders and a curation of Juneteenth food stories and bites from amazing Black LGBTQIA+ chefs. This annual event celebrates local business leaders and the impact they have made on their Queer communities. In 2023 NYC Pride continues the celebration of Black LGBTQIA+ leaders in the community by highlighting folx doing amazing work in the business sector. This immersive experience will feature opportunities to connect with community members, an awards ceremony, entertainment, culinary experience and so much more.

Youth Pride

NYC Pride is proud to host Youth Pride, the annual celebration of and for LGBTQIA+ and ally teens in partnership with founding sponsor Target. Dance the day away with rotating DJ’s, musical performances, and special guests. Youth Pride is a 100% free event featuring interactive moments, games, beverages, snacks and so much more.

Date: Saturday, June 24, 2023; 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Tickets: Free, intended for those aged 13 – 24

Location: Domino Park (15 River St., Brooklyn, NY 11249)

Teaze* 

NYC Pride is back with TEAZE! A Queer party experience “teazing” some of the most diverse party experiences New York City has to offer! Get ready to dance the day away with music from a mix of beloved DJs and performers at one of the most inclusive party venues in Brooklyn. Participants have the opportunity to experience FOUR Queer party experiences during this day party event. These 4 party experience center BIPOC individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community and provide safe spaces year-round:

Global Warming (2pm – 6pm)
A D A I R is an open format DJ, producer and cultural curator. Boston Chery—pronounced Cherié—is a Boston-bred, Haitian-American, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer and co-curator of Global Warming dance party. Trae is a loud Sagittarius who has an obsession with swirling iced-coffee and getting down on the dance floor!
Funky Reggae House Party (2pm – 6pm)
A Brooklyn based collective that curates events for Queer West Indian folx. The Trinidad born collective is headed by Visuallocs (they/them) and Captain Dymond (she/her). They are influenced by reggae, soca, house and dancehall traditions.
BTFA collective (6pm – 10pm)
Creates spaces for the production and preservation of Black trans art and culture by building community with Black trans femme artists and providing them with the resources and support necessary to thrive.
Snookie & Friends (6pm – 10pm)
Featuring Candice Balenciaga, Alaska Gabanna, Samantha Old Navy, Mecca and DJ Belina. Snookie is an international commentator MC from Brooklyn, New York City. Snookie has been in the ballroom scene for over 10 years, and is a legend in the mainstream ballroom and kiki scene.

PrideFest

Going into its 29th year, PrideFest is thrilled to be back for their annual LGBTQIA+ street fair that combines exhibitors, entertainers, food and activities for a day of fun and celebration in the name of equality. PrideFest brings together NYC locals, families, sponsors, community leaders, local business owners, and incredible talent from around the world performing at StageFest. PrideFest is the perfect place to stop and catch a live performance, grab a bite to eat, shop local, and get some great Pride gear.

Location: TBA, Greenwich Village

The March

The first March was held in 1970 one year after the Stonewall Uprising. It has since become an annual civil rights demonstration. Over the years its purpose has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to illness, violence and neglect. The March returns to the streets for 2023, celebrating our lives and our resilient community.

Bliss Days*

This is NYC Pride’s annual celebration of LGBTQIA+ womxn and features rotating DJs, dancers, pop-up performances and special guest appearances. Join us in love, light and appreciation for womxn in the LGBTQ+ community!

Bliss Days is produced in partnership with Raw Honey. Raw Honey, curated by Gabrielle Hitchens, is a destination for all things queer, culture and community. Established in July 2021, its mission is to curate culturally affirming experiences for QTBIPOC to come as their authentic selves–raw, and unapologetically queer.

Bliss Days will include DJ sets from Hourglass, DJ Poison Ivy and Daniro.

Pride Island

Pride Island, headlined by seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and activist Christina Aguilera, caps off the excitement of Pride Week with an array of exuberant dancing, lights and music. Billboard #1 Remixer and Indie Music award nominee Guy Scheiman (Tel Aviv), and the New York City debut of resident DJ at Forever Tel Aviv Mor Avrahmi (Tel Aviv), who will man the turntables and keep the crowd grooving into the night. Enjoy food, interactive experiences, and more!
