Leave it to comedian Grace Kuhlenschmidt to prove anything can be a pickup line if the vibe is right.
With President Biden’s mass pardons making headlines, the New York-based Daily Show correspondent took to the streets to see if she might help pad out the list. It never hurts to ask.
“Is there anything you’ve done that you think you should get a pardon for?” Kuhlenschmidt asks passersby, eliciting responses like ‘pirating music from Limewire’ and ‘accidentally shoplifting at the self-checkout.’
Then one woman drops a bomb: “I guess telling people I love them when I don’t.” Ouch – that’s real.
The brutally honest participant makes her official request directly into The Daily Show’s (un)official Pardon Cam. “Joe Biden,” she pleads, “please pardon me for lying to men all over the world.”
“That’s why I only date women,” Kuhlenschmidt responds, prompting the interviewee to reveal that she is bisexual.
“This is the first time I’ve admitted it on camera. I guess I am growing up,” the woman acknowledges.
The interaction takes yet another turn when Kuhlenschmidt turns out to be her type.
