Soccer superstar couple Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger have just welcomed a new addition to their family.
On Wednesday, the couple announced on Instagram that they had adopted a boy, Ocean Maeve Krieger-Harris, who will join them and daughter Sloane. “My wife and I are excited to share that we have adopted a baby boy. Our hearts are full during this time and we are so grateful for the love and support our family, friends, and club have shown,” wrote Harris in the post, which was accompanied by a photograph of her holding Ocean.
She added that daughter Sloane “has been thriving and wakes up every morning saying ‘Baby, baby.’ We are incredibly thankful and excited for this new chapter as we parent 2 under 2. Let the sleepless nights rage on […] I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
Krieger also took a moment to welcome the latest member of the family. “Welcome to the world, Ocean Maeve! We are so thrilled for our growing family and couldn’t be more excited to have two beautiful babies to share life with,” she posted on her Instagram. “Baby Boy, you are so loved and adored already and I’m so proud to be your Mommy.”
Harris and Krieger had previously welcomed Sloane, whom they also adopted, to the family back in February 2021.
The arrival of Baby Ocean to the family has received messages of support and love from followers on Instagram, including some well-wishes from Krieger and Harris’ Women’s National teammates.
“I can NOT handle this cuteness and how happy I am for y’all,” wrote retired player Abby Wambach.
