THE CULTURAL ROADMAP FOR CITY GIRLS EVERYWHERE

100 Women We Love 2012

June 15, 2012

Drum roll, please! We’re excited to present this year’s 100 Women We Love—our most diverse group of out entertainers, artists, athletes, activists, business principals and elected officials yet. Each of these women is a superstar in her own right. Their achievements and contributions shape our lives —and elevate us in the eyes of the world . They’re working to raise LGBT awareness, increase our visibility and quicken our progress toward a just society. We are extremely proud to present the class of 2012. There are no rankings or numbers. They are all leaders.

Haviland Stillwell
A triple threat as an actor, singer and producer, Georgia native Haviland Stillwell has shared the Broadway stage with its biggest names and enjoyed recurring roles in TV’s most popular series. After graduating from NYU with honors, Stillwell began her career in the original Broadway revivals of Fiddler on the Roof with Lea Michele and Rosie O’Donnell; and Les Miserables with Lea Salonga and Daphne Rubin-Vega. On television, she’s guest starred in Single Ladies, The Client List, CSI:NY and many more. Aside from acting, Stillwell supported the release of her debut album How I Role with concerts at Joe’s Pub, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall and beyond—a packed schedule that was second nature to this effervescently upbeat talent. “I have always loved performing. I imitated people when I was a little girl, fascinated with what makes people behave the way they do,” she says. “I also love connecting people to each other and making things happen. Producing was a natural extension of that instinct.” Stillwell co-created, executive produces and co-stars in the hilarious web series Unicorn Plan-It, now launching its second season, and is the voice of Raquelle in the popular new series Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse. Her incredible work ethic doesn’t go unnoticed: Stillwell’s peers at POWER UP honored her last year as an “Outstanding Woman in Showbiz.”
