We cannot sink into despair and useless rage, but rise, rise, rise like the generation of the 1960’s and 70’s into a purposeful, dedicated national movement.

The ruling was made during divorce proceedings for Kris Williams and Rebekah Wilson, a same-sex Oklahoma couple who had married in 2019 and had a son via artificial insemination later that same year. 

We must never forget how far we’ve come, how much these women have risked, and how far we still have to go.

Last year at this time, there were no women candidates left in the 2020 presidential race. This year, we have Kamala Harris as our Vice President.

“The Equality Act is a bill for us all: It is designed to ensure that everyone in this country is treated with respect, dignity, and equality, regardless of who we are or how we show up in the world.”

Passage of the Equality Act would provide yet another measure of protection for the LGBTQ+.
