LIVE PERFORMANCES BY:
Tula Vera The dinner leftovers of 60’s rock with some modern-day spooky blues, Tula Vera’s sound shines through. Tula Vera is a four-piece rock band based out of North Jersey/New York. Playing shows all over, including but not limited to New Brunswick basement shows, clubs in New York, and shows in Philadelphia. The band formed in 2015 from the DIY musical depths of New Jersey by songwriters Claire Parcells and Dylan Drummond. Bassist Joe Jansen and Drummer Margaret Marino joined the group in 2016, the same year their debut self-titled album was released. This record solidified the genre-bending 21st-century rock vibe that is Tula Vera’s signature sound. Tula Vera just released their Sophomore full-length LP “Again and Again…”
Go Home is a three-piece art-rock band from NYC. GO HOME is mess and order, guitar feedback and hushed harmonies and unreliable narrators. Trav hits like an octopus on performance-enhancing drums. Mar sings like an angel and plays the synth like a demon. No one’s sure what Zak does, and we’re honestly worried about it. GO HOME is ice cream that fell on the sidewalk, and we think that’s just great. With this show at the beloved Wet Spot, GO HOME celebrates the release of their new single “Apple Core.”
Apollo Flowerchild is an NYC-based indie-folk multi-instrumentalist. They have been writing music for the last 5 years and has developed their sound to cover complexity, with a sense of soulful beauty. Their voice is like spring after a long winter, holding the pain and soul of Brisk Snow, gently emerging from the frost the promise of a softer warmer tomorrow.
