Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade, Ending 50 Years Of Abortion Protections

The ruling, which was announced on the Supreme Court’s website at 10:10 a.m. ET, declares “The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey [the 1992 case that upheld Roe] are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives.”
