THE ROAD AHEAD was inspired by Rod Serling’s classic television series “The Twilight Zone.” A lesbian married couple on a nighttime journey to rejuvenate their love is transported by a GPS gone amok to a mysterious destination in place and time. The women are welcomed by a guide, who presents three vignettes, performed by her and her assistants. The vignettes, like traditional fables, portray a moral and a lesson for living life with courage while attempting to right wrong in the world. Two Jewish women in 1920 Easter Europe; an escaped slave and the Quaker woman guiding her on the Underground Railroad in 1850; and two lesbians meet in modern day Greenwich Village. Each vignette contains hope for a better life.
