Shake your feathers and prepare for the event of the year, as the Taste of Tzaneen Fest will again take place at Fairview Hotel in Tzaneen this year, on the 2 and 3 November. This vibrant and colourful festival promises to rock you off your feet with offerings from all sectors of the community of Tzaneen and surrounding areas.
Baskets Full of Blessings will be the theme for 2018, and what could be more suitable for an event which showcases all the beautiful products, talent and offerings of our fruitful valley!
An array of exciting activities is to be expected, including a wine tasting meander, food stalls, arts and crafts, books, craft beer and gin, delicatessen, cheese, dried fruit, biltong, clothing and jewellery, interior and exterior décor, live music, performances and entertainment by local artists – which will all showcase only the best of what our bountiful area has to offer.
A potjiekos competition with “Potjiekos for Africa” charity drive will be led by the well-known actor and potjiekos fundi, Ben Kruger from the popular Binnelanders fame.
Learn about the rich history of the area with a skirmish tour led by Charles Leach, well known author and historian. For the adrenaline junkies a mountain bikingt rail on the neighbouring farm will get your blood pumping! Fun for the whole family.
For special interest groups there will be exhibitions, demonstrations, information booths, competitions, fundraising opportunities and even a bird, tree and cycad identifying walk and talk.
