Join Queer Birders at the Alice Austen House in Staten Island Saturday August 17 11am-1pm. We’ll be doing a bird walk around the gorgeous grounds and then ppl from the museum will be giving us a guided tour ! In addition we will get to harvest some herbs in their garden – which is also the home of the @queerecologiesproject
What is the Alice Austen House??:
This is the historic home of Alice Austen, a 19th century photographer, which she shared with her longtime partner Gertrude Tate. This is a nationally designated site of LGBTQ+ history
