Purim is the most festive of Jewish holidays, a time of prizes, noisemakers, costumes, and treats. The Festival of Purim commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire from destruction, in the wake of a plot by bad guy Haman (aka Jafar) Read all about it HERE! – on this night we celebrate by giving mutual gifts of food and drink, giving charity to the poor, and celebratory meals; other customs include drinking lots of wine, wearing masks and costumes, and joyous celebrations!
