This is our 2nd Annual Rooftop Party at Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co. This is where our Tall Girl Gose was born and brewed! Food and plenty of beer will be available.
Live Bands:
Basic Bitches
Naomi Scott (guitar, vocals) and Krystal Grow (drums, vocals) are BASIC BITCHES. The queer punk rock two-piece are familiar faces in NYC’s Riot Grrrl / DIY scene.
They crank out original songs from The Green Room, their in-house practice space and DIY recording studio, and tour throughout New York and around the world. They’re known for the welcoming vibe of their live shows, along with their ear-grabbing musical hooks, witty lyrics and tits-to-the-glass exuberance.
StepNeck
STEPNECK aka “step on my neck” —— (a phrase used by the queer community to express that someone is super hot), comes to you with “ alt, dance, queer, space, pirate, hooligan, rock” it’s the best descriptor for what they do. The band is affectionately know as the “lex band” because they were formed from an ad posted on the app. They aim to give you the alt experience though a black queer lens and keep you grooving wherever they are
Plastiq Passion
They have opened up for such notable acts as The Cult, Dramarama, The Misfits, Girl In A Coma and Tegan & Sara. Plastiq Passion is made up of the enigmatic Jessica Chaos on vocals, the quiet but wise Deborrah Sanchez on lead guitar, the rather tall Christine Simon on bass, and the animal Stacey Lee on drums. Collectively they have a goal to play every single rock venue in America (and also the world) including, but not limited to, your basement. So keep a look out for these four hardcore momma-jamma’s and don’t mess with them, because they have a black-belt in bar stools.
On Deck:
Mari Mac Dowell is a DJ and record collector who was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro and now resides in Brooklyn. Her expansive collection of Brazilian, African, house and disco records make all her sets energetic, percussive and full of unique grooves. Mari has played at several clubs in the city such as Public Records, Mood Ring and Jupiter Disco among other venues and is always looking for more hidden gems to elevate your dance floor experience. She currently has a residency at ACE Hotel in Manhattan.
