Come Swap Books with Us <3

HOW IT WORKS:

BlkBookSwap is an all attendees inclusive pop-up event, but we want the book pool (where you swap from and donate to) to stay intentionally Black, Indigenous, Latinx and POC authors primarily. So pick out a book from an author of color that you love from your library (up to 3) and bring them to Swap!

MORE ABOUT PLAYGROUND COFFEE SHOP:

Playground Coffee Shop is a WOC owned coffee shop, with a bookstore extension, radio station, and all around artist and community space in Bedstuy, BK. I could really go on and on about how amazing and special this space is, but a few more things – they also have a newly launched Barista training program AND a community take one leave library outside of their shop.

Follow, support and STOP BY @playgroundcoffeeshop and @playgroundannex to get your life!

MAD LOVE TO OUR SPONSOR:

The Underbelly (@theunderbellyyoga) is wellness with you at the core. The Underbelly like to remind us that, “we are just like you: curious, authentic, approachable and creative. We don’t aspire to perfection and invite you to come as you are. We embrace the fullness of our darkness and our light, our crazy and our sanity. The Underbelly offers the tools, practices, inspiration, knowledge and community you need to achieve the four pillars of wellness – Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual – your way. We are passionate about embracing authenticity and self-awareness, and fostering a safe, accepting and welcoming space for wellness on your own terms. You are the wellness you need. Together, let’s create a world where everyone can discover holistic wellness that meets you where you are.” The Underbelly was co-founded by Jessamyn Stanley (@mynameisjessamyn) – a bad ass, Black, queer, author, yogi and cannabis advocate who is based in Durham, NC.
