SYLVIA RIVERA LAW PROJECT COCKTAIL PARTY
Sep 30, 5:30-7:30pm, 3 E 69th St, srlp.org. Kate Clinton, Urvashi Vaid and Michael Harrell host a cocktail party benefitting the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, which “works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression.” Nosh on hors d’oeuvres and support this important cause. 

THE TASK FORCE: 40 YEARS
Oct 8, 6-10pm, Manhattan Penthouse, 80 Fifth Ave (at 14th St), thetaskforce.org. Honor four decades of activism on behalf of the LGBT community at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force’s anniversary bash. Mingle with legends of the LGBT equality movement as well as emerging leaders.

GOLDEN HEART AWARDS
Oct 16, 7pm, Spring Studios, 50 Varick St, glwd.org. God’s Love We Deliver provides free, nutritious meals and counseling to New Yorkers affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer and other illnesses. This year, GLWD is honoring a woman whose dedication to human rights can’t be disputed: Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Honorees also include Aerin Lauder, Jeff Gates and Mike Moran.

ANNUAL SALUTE TO WOMEN IN SPORTS
Oct 16, 6pm, Cipriani Wall Street, 55 Wall St, womenssportsfoundation.org. For 34 years, the Women's Sports Foundation's benefit gala has brought together the best athletes on the planet, the girls they inspire and their biggest fans for a legendary night of celebration. The event raises donations to provide girls and women greater access to sports.

FALL DINNER
Oct 17, 5:30 reception/7pm dinner, Sheraton New York Times Square, 811 Seventh Ave (at W 53rd St), prideagenda.org. Statewide LGBT rights organization Empire State Pride Agenda hosts this fabulous annual bash for more than 1,100 friends and allies. This year’s honorees are Roberta Kaplan, the attorney who won the landmark DOMA case United States v. Windsor; and Evan Wolfson, founder and president of Freedom to Marry. Billy Porter entertains.

SAGE AWARDS AND GALA
Oct 21, 6-10pm, Gotham Hall, 1356 Broadway (at 36th St), sageusa.org. SAGE hosts a swanky gala to honor individuals or corporations who  improve the lives of LGBT older adults across the country. Honorees in 2013 are Roberta Kaplan; Jay Lesiger; Chris Kann and Jewish Home Lifecare. Washington Post editorial board member Jonathan Capehart is your emcee.

REVEL
Oct 24, time TBA, Highline Ballroom, 431 W 16th St (btw 9th and 10th Aves), stonewallfoundation.org. Revel is the Stonewall Foundation’s annual party for younger donors who want to make an investment in the local LGBT community. Join 500 revelers for cocktails, dancing and people-watching at the Highline Ballroom.

A PLACE AT THE TABLE
Oct 25, 6-10pm, Capitale, 130 Bowery (btw Broome and Grand Sts), aliforneycenter.org. New York’s leading organization helping LGBT homeless youth is proud to host its annual gala at Capitale. Gorgeous Top Chef judge Padma Lakshmi emcees the evening, which honors Isis King, Frank Selvaggi, and Room & Board. An after-party immediately follows the awards.

UNMASK AIDS
Oct 28, 6-10pm, the Bryant Park Grill, 25 W 40th St (in Bryant Park), ascnyc.org. The AIDS Service Center NYC presents a gala to fight the stigma of HIV/AIDS. New York fashion designers and local artists create one-of-a-kind masks exclusively for Unmask AIDS, which are donated to the silent auction.  This year ASCNYC salutes How to Survive a Plague’s Joy Tomchin and David France.

THANKS AND GIVING
Nov 7, 7-9pm, 82 Mercer, 82 Mercer St, gmhc.org. Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) is switching it up a bit this year and debuting a new theme for its annual fall event. Expect a swanky cocktail party at this glamorous SoHo space, and meet the leaders in the continuing fight against HIV/AIDS. Check the website for this year’s honorees.

EMERY AWARDS
Nov 13, 6pm-midnight, Cipriani Wall Street, 55 Wall St (btw William and Hanover Sts), hmi.org. The Hetrick-Martin Institute, dedicated to giving LGBT youth the resources they need to succeed, brings its glitzy annual gala back to Cipriani Wall Street. This year’s honorees will include the financial services company Moody’s and others to be announced. Bravo’s resident gadfly Andy Cohen will emcee the evening.

OUTAUCTION 2013
Nov 18, 5-9:30pm, location TBA, glaad.org. The OutAuction brings together top artists and collectors to raise money for GLAAD’s campaigns for LGBT equality. In past years, the offerings have included modern masterpieces from Picasso, Kandinsky and Chagall as well as contemporary work from Ryan McGinnis and Annie Liebovitz.

COMMUNITY HEALTH AWARDS
Nov 18, 6-9pm, Espace, 635 W 42nd St, callen-lorde.org. The annual awards ceremony benefitting NYC’s only health center dedicated to the LGBT community is always a heartwarming and haute affair. Honorees share stories of Callen-Lorde’s invaluable efforts to expand access to quality health care for the city’s most vulnerable populations. The glitzy night is topped off with a dinner celebration and dancing.  

WOMEN'S EVENT 15
Nov 23, 7pm-midnight, Edison Ballroom, 240 W 47th St, gaycenter.org. The LGBT Community Center’s biggest female-focused fundraiser celebrates the women who make an impact on our community. Enjoy a glamorous cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner and dancing with NYC’s top power lesbians and beloved celebs. Check the Center’s website for details.
