Christina Aguilera’s New Pride Line Will Support LGBTQ+ Organizations

“I’m so excited to announce my new Pride collection!” the singer wrote on Instagram. “I am also proud to support @transtechsocial & @translashmedia, two organizations doing such important work for the community.

Singer and LGBTQ+ ally Christina Aguilera is releasing a new collection of Pride 2021 merchandise.

Aguilera announced the collection’s arrival on Instagram this weekend. The collection features a spectrum photo sweatshirt, a rainbow mesh tank top and spectrum logo briefs featuring the brand’s moniker “XTINA” in rainbow colors, and a pink lips mask.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit two trans rights organizations, according to the XTINA website: TransTech Social, a coworking space and talent incubator for LGBTQ+ people founded by Angelica Ross; and TransLash, a media platform that tells the stories of trans individuals.

“I’m so excited to announce my new Pride collection!” the singer wrote on Instagram. “I am also proud to support @transtechsocial & @translashmedia, two organizations doing such important work for the community.

The same message appeared on Twitter, along with a short video.

Aguilera has been an ally of the LGBTQ+ community throughout her career. She dedicated her 2002 hit, “Beautiful,” to the LGBTQ+ community and her song “Change” to the victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre; proceeds from downloads of the song went to the victims of the shooting, and to the families of the victims.

Additionally, Aguilera spoke out against California’s Proposition 8, an effort to ban same-sex marriage, back in 2008. “It just doesn’t make sense to me why you would put so much money behind something — between stopping people from loving each other and bonding together,” she said in a video at the time. “I just don’t understand it.”
