Six years ago, Leslie caught Domenick’s eye on Instagram. This was before there was the option of sliding into direct messages on Instagram, so the couple had to take it to Twitter. The two talked for three months before Domenick flew Leslie from Louisiana to Dallas. According to Domenick, “the rest is history.” They have been engaged for four years. They had originally planned to marry the year Domenick’s mother passed away, but put their wedding plans on the back burner to get through the difficult time. “Leslie was there to lift me up and bring me back to my normal self. She stood by my side the whole way! We overcame that horrible time of my life together,” says Domenick.
The secret to their relationship success? “We understand that we come together as one, but we also don’t want to take from who we are as individuals. We don’t try to change each other; we just continue to help each other grow.” Leslie’s favorite thing about Domenick is her heart. “She’s the sweetest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of having in my life.” And Domenick loves that they prove opposites attract. “I used to think being alike was cool, until I met her. She forces me outside of my comfort zone, which keeps me from being stagnant in life.”
Domenick and Leslie hope to be married and raising their first child together in five years, as well as successfully living out their dream to inspire millions of viewers through their YouTube videos.
