On Monday, November 28, 2016, the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District will host the 17th Annual Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square – New York’s largest holiday festival featuring an evening of music, food, dancing and fun for the entire family. The highly-anticipated event promises a new and lively lineup of legendary performers, up-and-coming musicians, dancers, street entertainment and more to ring in the holiday season and light up the Upper West Side. The celebration begins with the lighting of the Upper West Side holiday tree in Dante Park at Broadway & 63rd Street. Headlining the main-stage will be Grammy nominated, American funk and soul singer Sharon Jones. Sharon Jones will be joined at the tree by American Idol and Broadway star, Justin Guarini who will serve as the evening’s host and perform holiday classics and hits from the new musical In Transit. In Winter’s Eve tradition, WABC-TV’s anchors will be on stage to lead the tree lighting countdown, broadcasted live on WABC-TV Channel 7. Winter’s Eve is expected to attract more than 20,000 people to the Lincoln Square area. Whether you live in NYC or are visiting; whether you are a foodie, a student, a retiree, a theater or folk music enthusiast; there is something for everyone at Winter’s Eve. Bring your appetite!
