It’s Pride Month so this show on June 22nd is the QUEER TAKEOVER! Hosted and Created by comedian X Mayo (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Upright Citizens Brigade), the show will be starring some of the hardest working queer artists in the industry from Broad City, HBO, Hulu, Upright Citizen Brigade, and MORE! Not only will artists of color be in the spotlight on stage, but they will also be writing, directing, producing, and managing behind the scenes. Plus, we have Drag Queens: The King Ivy, Sol Definition, Shavonte Godiva, and Elise Nicole ready to serve the gag of the century! We do allow a token white to attend the cookout and for this show, we got 2 QUEENS, Jeff Hiller and David Goldberg, who will have to lipsync for their lives or be kicked out of the cookout. Come see what we POC’s can do with a common goal in mind: to elevate our community through comedy. As always, a live DJ, dancers, cookout bites, and a little liquor will be involved in this show.

Representation in comedy is a constant struggle for people of color. This show is a platform for us to amplify our voices, showcase our talent, and tell our stories. WMTPS hopes to inspire all marginalized groups to pursue their passions, even in industries where they don’t see anyone like them.
