The Pieces is a 9/11 conspiracy theory told through the music of Ashlee Simpson’s Autobiography album, performed and written by comedian Melissa Stokoski and accompanied by Fernanda Douglas.

At a Cracker Barrel outside of Dallas, Ashlee Simpson overhears the Bush Administration discussing their plans to orchestrate 9/11. She knows what she must do – become a pop star and tell the truth. Can she succeed with the government sabotaging her every step of the way? You’re invited to hear her side of the story… the facts, the evidence… all the pieces.

Melissa Stokoski is a comedian and writer based in New York City. She is the co-creator of Handmaid’s Tale: The Musical, a cathartic parody of the Margaret Atwood book, featured in the New York Times and performed at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C, and Fiddler on the Rooftop Bar, a parody in which residents of Williamsburg are forced to move due to the L Train shut down. She performs stand up around the city and Brooklyn and hosts a monthly show – Star F*ckers: Astrology, But Make It comedy – at Union Hall. She has a podcast called Speaking of Carrie and has been featured on TruTV, Bravo and is a regular on SiriusXM.

Directed by Joy Donze.
