Politics As (Un)Usual is an dynamic examination of how political tactics that stem from abnormal human instincts – adapting coded language; character assassination; hyper-partisanism (gang mentality of the two party system) – have been normalized, how it’s affected the community and citizen’s trust in government. The event is a discussion with a panel of Brooklyn Free Speech community producers who have public affairs-centric programs. In addition, one audience member will be drawn to be a fifth panelist per each of the three segments. Special performances with be incorporated into the discussion, as will a unique approach to audience participation. The event will be taped live for Brooklyn Free Speech TV.
